Just to keep you all posted on art happenings about town, this Thursday night there will be a few gallery shows and discounted eats along Divisadero street this Thursday evening as part of the Divisadero Art Walk.
Looks like fun & it’s in the neighborhood.  What could be better than that?

I love art, always have & whenever I have some free time, I love to check out galleries and museums.  Just thought I would pass along a few things on my radar screen in case you do too. 

This weekend, the SFMOMA is offering free admission (from the 16th to the 18th) to celebrate their 75th Anniversary & they’re having a lobby reception from 6-11pm with a cash bar.  Nice addition to the usual “first Tuesdays” free admission nights.

The Fraenkel Gallery is currently showing a collection of Diane Arbus’ lesser known photography & this exhibit just opened and is in town through March 6th.

SF Moms & Dads take note — there’s a Children’s Art Center at Fort Mason in the Marina & they offer a great range of art classes for kids as teeny as 2 — sculpture, painting & drawing, photography & mixed media — I want to sign up!  Looks like they have drop-in classes for $20 so it’s relatively low committment too.  Maybe it’s the artist in me, but sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon, so just passing it along.
