Sneak preview

Just thought I’d share a little sneak preview from a recent family photo shoot we did.  I just loved this one.  There are 3 girls in the fam, and they’re 2, 5 and 11.  I think their personalities and “stage of life” just totally came out.  They were all having fun and were just fantastic to work with (although, I swear, it really doesn’t feel like work, ever & I am touched-by-an-angel-lucky to have the most fantastic clients ever).

Jcrewing for a photo shoot . . .

Every so often I come across an outfit that strikes me as perfect for a photo shoot — I love this “color blocked” dress from J-Crew (although I don’t like the term “color blocked” as it makes me flash back to some pretty hideous looks from the 80s).  It’s got a cute pop of color in the skirt, nice slimming dark top & looks like it would be comfortable too, which is really important (you don’t want to feel like you’ve got to suck it all in the whole time).  Just passing things on to y’all.  (I might style this a little bit differently, too — personally, I prefer high heels & would think about doing  a cute pair of nude peep toes instead of flats).

Sneak Preview – Ocean Beach Family Shoot

Y’all, you know how I just love shooting at Ocean Beach?  Well, if you didn’t know, I do.  My favorite place in San Francisco.  It’s where the city starts to feel like a beach town & I feel like I really do live in California.  Anyway, I just did the most fun family shoot there.  Nicest family.  Pretty location.  I fell in love all over again.  Here’s a sneak preview from that shoot.  More soon . . . .

Family shoot in the Haight & at home

You may remember this gorgeous wedding we shot at the Ferry Building last year, well these lovely kids went and had a baby who is just as darling as his Mom and Dad.  I just *love* when we get invited back to keep photographing our brides and grooms as they become parents (or just keep on being in love with each other a deux).  Anyway, we did their first family photo shoot in their neighborhood in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury.  I am really a fan of shooting where my clients live — I think their homes and neighborhoods are like additional characters in the story of life and it’s really nice to document where things were happening.  Who knows where everyone eventually ends up and at that moment in time, they lived there.  Without further commentary, here are some pictures!
