Maybe it’s just me, but I’m never very excited to buy anything for someone off a registry.  There’s something that’s so uncreative and overly practical about sending a gift someone “needs” and picked out for themselves.  So I generally don’t.  Apologies to all those friends reading this now thinking “good grief, Elle, I really did want those towels, did ya have to get me the _______ (fill in the blank, picnic basket/beach towels, etc. . .)?!”  In case anyone else is like-minded, I came across the most adorable gift ever — personalized, monogrammed plates available through Navy & Lavender.  Rather than describe them, here are pics of a few of many options.  Put this on the “one for you, one for me” list.
